Adaptive Edge is for working professionals who want to move beyond passive learning and build real, practical fluency with AI — live, with a practitioner, alongside peers who bring genuine experience to the room. You do not need a marketing background: participants come from marketing, sales, operations, product, and entrepreneurship. You do not need prior AI experience — the pre-course assessment shapes the curriculum around the cohort's actual starting point. If you are curious, willing to show up, and ready to apply what you learn in real work, this course is designed for you.
Adaptive Edge is designed for working professionals at any level who want to build real AI fluency — not just try a few tools. It's particularly well suited for:
Marketing and communications professionals
Consultants integrating AI into client work
Professionals navigating digital transformation
Organizations shifting from product-led to market-led strategy
Anyone who learns better in a guided, instructor-led setting
No prior AI experience required. All levels are welcome.
No. The pre-course assessment helps Michael understand exactly where each participant is starting from, and the curriculum is shaped around the cohort's collective experience. Whether you're just getting started with AI tools or already using them regularly, the course meets you where you are.
Most online courses are self-paced, self-directed, and designed to scale to thousands of participants. You watch videos, complete modules on your own timeline, and hope the content is still relevant by the time you finish. University programs move on academic cycles — by the time a curriculum is approved, the technology has already changed.
Adaptive Edge is different in three specific ways:
One instructor, one cohort. Every session is led live by Michael Richter — the same instructor who designed the course, taught it at Thunderbird, and is actively working in the field. You're not watching pre-recorded videos or working through a platform.
The course is tailored to you. Before the first session every participant completes a pre-course assessment. The instructor reviews the cohort's collective results and selects the 14 modules that best fit the group's experience, goals, and industry background. No two cohorts follow the same path.
You actually use the tools. This isn't theory. Every module includes hands-on application — you build, create, and produce real work using the tools covered. By the end you have a complete AI-powered marketing campaign for a real brand and a personal toolkit you built yourself.
The result is a learning experience that feels more like a masterclass than a course — intimate, responsive, and built around who's in the room.
Live on Zoom — twice a week, 90 minutes per session, over 8 weeks for a total of 16 sessions. The course is instructor-led in a small group setting of up to 10 participants. Sessions are never recorded — attendance is part of the experience.
Specific days and times are set once a cohort is confirmed. See the next question if you'd like to share your availability in advance.
After enrolling, every participant completes a Pre-Course Assessment — a ~20 minute survey covering your experience across 10 AI and marketing technology categories, your industry background, and your learning goals. Michael reviews all responses and uses them to hand-select the 14 modules that best fit your cohort. No two cohorts follow the same path.
Each module includes a Field Report — a practical assignment that helps you apply what you're learning between sessions. Field Reports keep the live class time focused on discussion, demos, and going deeper — not catching up on basics. They're structured but not graded in the traditional sense.
The course covers a broad range of AI and marketing technology tools organized by category. Examples include conversational AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity for research and writing; CRM platforms like HubSpot for pipeline and client management; creative tools for generating video content, audio and podcast production, visual design, and AI-powered presentations. Additional categories include content strategy, data analytics, workflows and systems integration, and agentic AI. The specific tools covered in each cohort are guided by the pre-course assessment — so the mix reflects where participants are and where they want to go.
At the end of the course you will have:
A Certificate of Completion from Adaptive Edge
A complete AI marketing campaign presentation for a real brand
A personal AI toolkit you built and used throughout the course
A stronger foundation for continuous learning as the technology evolves

It is not intended as tailored consulting for your specific business. Each cohort works with a selection of real global brands as shared learning vehicles, which creates richer discussion and more objective analysis.
